Description: Very rich & lush black velvet 60s vintage gown form qulaity maker Nat Kaplan of New York. This has truly dazzling metallic gold braided trim accented copiously with prongset tear drop shaped and faceted rhinestones throughout the front bodice & sleeves edges. These stones are absolutely bright & sparkle brilliantly whenever light touches them in a dramatic contrast to the inky black velvet. There is a long metal zipper in the back with a series of hook & eye closures at the back of the neck. The sleeves edges open a short way and close with small snaps (this may be an alteration, though nicely done). The skirt is slightly gathered with a higher than usual waistline and the sleeves are full length & close fitting.
In beautiful condition with a couple of light impression marks in the velvet at the back of 1 sleeve & lower side skirt area. The collar also has a bit of a forward fold to it also.
