How do I pay for my order? Is it secure?

Mystique Vintage utilizes Paypal services during the checkout process, one of the most trusted online payment solutions on the web. Because of this, Mystique Vintage has all the same securities and payment fraud protection as PayPal.com. Before entering any personal credit card information, you will be transferred to s secure servers. PayPal accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and Diners Club. You may also make payments using an echeck from your bank account, but this may delay your order.

What is Mystique Vintage's return and exchange policy?

Returns are happily accepted for any reason, just contact Mystique Vintage with the intent to return ASAP and remember - return postage charges are not refundable.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Once shipped most domestic orders take anywhere from 2 to 10 business days to arrive depending on the efficiency of your local postal service and shipping method. International shipping delivery times may vary between 2 and 12 weeks.

For Canadian Customers: Due to slow Canadian customs in some provinces, standard first class mail delivery can take up to 3 weeks.

Are clothing items dry cleaned?

Yes, some pieces are depending on the condition and rarity of the garment. Old store stock with tags are left as is and many items have existed through time nicely stored by their former owners and may just need a freshening in the dryer to remove dust. Washable items are machine or hand laundered according to manufacturer instructions.

Do items come from a smoke free, pet free environment?

Yes.

Sizing - Vintage clothing from the 40's & 50's come with inherent sizing issues. Sizes from these periods differ dramatically from modern sizes so special attention should be given to actual measurements provided. Though I do note them when present size labels in the garments are most times best ignored. If possible comparing a garment you may already own in a similar style is also helpful and remember too that measurements given are exact measurements of the garment. All measurements are taken from inside the seam with the garment lying flat, buttoned or closed and doubled where applicable. Measurements given are in inches.

Condition Rating System

MINT - no notable flaws or wear, an NOS garment - "new old stock", with original tags, never worn (for example).

EXCELLENT - maybe 1 or 2 slight flaws, extremely light wear, well cared for, properly stored.

VERY GOOD/GOOD - minor signs of wear, any notable flaws are inconspicuous and not detrimental to the look & wearability of the garment.

FAIR - noticeable signs of wear & flaws though still conceivably wearable possibly (I don't stock much in this category).

FOR STUDY OR RESTORATION - as is, significantly flawed, though could be used for study of design elements or possibly restored to wearable condition. A beaded flapper dress in need of repair & replacement beading, for example

Sewing Patterns - Each pattern for sale at Mystique Vintage has been inspected to ensure all pattern pieces and instructions are present - overall condition is noted as well.
